Jazz in the church

At Crescendo Summer Institute (CSI) Jazz in the Church course creates opportunities for jazz, contemporary and classical musicians to bring a broad range of jazz styles to enhance worship in Church. The course explores the rich rhythmic, melodic and harmonic beauty of Jazz, while applying these elements to traditional and contemporary Church music for both vocal and instrumental styles of worship. There is an emphasis on the importance of the spiritual and biblical heritage of Church music, while discussing ways of building strong relationships to encourage each other in our walk with God. With this we bring the Gospel to the wider community.
