Jenna McBride-Harris enjoys a varied freelance career as a performer and educator in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area in Minnesota, USA. A proud Oregonian at heart, she left the Pacific Northwest to begin her musical studies at St. Olaf College in Minnesota where she is now Visiting Assistant Professor of Horn. At St. Olaf she teaches a large studio of 20+ undergraduates. After earning her Bachelor of Music degree, McBride-Harris earned her masters and doctoral degrees at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and The Ohio State University respectively. In Ohio, she was a founding member in several active chamber ensembles and held positions as second horn in the Canton and Kentucky Symphony Orchestras and performed regularly with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, Dayton Philharmonic, and West Virginia Symphony Orchestra. Jenna is Acting Second Horn of the South Dakota Symphony and performs regularly with the Minnesota Opera, Minnesota Orchestra and Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. Outside of teaching and performing, Jenna enjoys gardening, baking, and the antics of her husband, two cats and six chickens.
